The show marks a long-overdue live debut in a region that has proven itself one of Splithoff’s most passionate and organic fan bases with New Zealand ranking #2 among his worldwide listening audiences.

Splithoff was raised in a music-filled home in the suburbs of Chicago and developed a deep appreciation at an early age for the timeless sounds of Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Fleetwood Mac — cornerstone influences that shaped his unique musical identity. He received his first guitar at 13, teaching himself to play through obsessively exploring the music of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, before earning a degree in Jazz Performance from the renowned Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. He moved to New York City and built his audience from the ground up, teaching private lessons, performing at weddings, singing commercial jingles, until the release of his breakout single “Sing to You,” which amassed over 150 million streams, climbed to the top of AC Radio, and led to international headline slots and festival appearances. He has performed alongside Sting, David Foster, jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, and has supported major touring artists including Teddy Swims, Andy Grammer, and Toro y Moi, while continuing to build his reputation as a magnetic live performer in his own right. His latest album, Far From Here, is out now via Virgin Records.

For Auckland audiences, this Tuning Fork performance offers a rare chance to experience John Splithoff’s smooth, soul-soaked catalogue live – an intimate evening with an artist whose music is as technically accomplished as it is emotionally resonant.
