Fresh off a breakout run that has seen their profile continue to rise across Aotearoa, Playlunch brought their infectious blend of bogan-funk energy and feel-good chaos to Auckland’s Double Whammy in the last show of their SexEd Album tour. Known for turning every performance into a celebration, the band arrived with a growing catalogue of crowd favourites and a reputation for delivering one of the most entertaining live shows around. With Double Whammy packed and buzzing long before the first note, Playlunch wasted little time turning the venue into a dancefloor, creating a feeling more like a giant pool party than a gig as the pool noodles found their way into the crowd.

Kicking things off were local artist Coast Arcade, who are definitely a band to keep an eye on with their polished mix of alt-rock energy, with a touch of pop punk. By the time the Auckland based band left the stage, the party was truly in full swing.
