The new outlets are now being rolled out across Spark Arena, marking the latest investment in the venue’s ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class experience both on and off the arena floor.
The refreshed food offering brings an expanded selection of freshly prepared options to Spark Arena, including dumplings, beef and chicken burgers, hot dogs, salads and more, with a focus on quality ingredients and local produce.
Adding to the new offering is the introduction of Mashgin technology, which uses AI-powered self-checkout scanners to significantly speed up the purchasing process. Spark Arena is the first arena in New Zealand and the first venue in the North Island to introduce Mashgin technology, joining Cardrona Ski Resort and The Remarkables as the only other venues in the country currently using the system.
With the largest number of Mashgin scanners in New Zealand, Spark Arena is set to deliver a faster and more seamless food and beverage experience, helping fans spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the show.
Complementing the venue’s latest technology investment is the Spark Arena App, launched in February 2026 to give fans a more convenient and connected way to plan and enjoy their visit. The app brings together digital ticketing, event information, real-time updates and exclusive offers in one place, further enhancing the fan experience from planning their night through to arriving at the venue.
The investment comes at an exciting time for Spark Arena, which was recently recognised as one of the top 20 arenas in the world by both IQ Magazine and Pollstar, two of the live entertainment industry’s leading publications.
“Being recognised by both IQ and Pollstar as one of the top arenas in the world is a huge honour, and it reflects the work our whole team puts into every show night,” said Mark Gosling, General Manager of Spark Arena. “We’re always looking at how we can improve the experience for fans, and our new food and beverage offering is a big part of that. From the quality and variety of the food to the technology helping people get served faster, we want every part of the Spark Arena experience to feel world-class.”
The new outlets form part of Spark Arena’s continued investment in its facilities and fan experience, complementing the venue’s diverse programme of international artists, sporting events and entertainment. Fans can explore the full food and beverage offering at Spark Arena.
