Hiatus Kaiyote celebrate 15 year ‘Band-iversary’ in Auckland

Genre-bending future soul visionaries Hiatus Kaiyote returned to New Zealand this past Friday to celebrate their 15th anniversary with an electrifying night of funk, jazz, hip-hop, rock and progressive R&B as only they know how.

It’s been a few years since Hiatus Kaiyote last visited New Zealand, and the Powerstation was packed with eager fans, keen to help the band celebrate their impressive 15 year “Band-iversary”.

Supporting Hiatus Kaiyote was Auckland-based artist Crystal Chen, who charmed the crowd with her soft and alluring songwriting style.
