The annual rock showcase has been building to this for a month, counting down the top rock tracks as voted by listeners. Spark Arena was packed with fans, who had descended on the venue from around the country to celebrate the #1 Spot going to a Kiwi band for the first time – Blindspott’s Nil By Mouth securing the coveted spot usually the occupied by international artists such as Metallica, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Ozzy Osborne.
